GAIN launches new strategy to transform food systems, so they provide the nutritious diets people need in an environmentally sustainable way. The new strategy aims to amplify the growing urgency and awareness of the importance of transforming our food systems to tackle both human development and planetary needs.

On 28th - 29th April, GAIN presented our Biofortification work, and our programme on the Commercialisation of Biofortified Foods at the 7th Annual Nutrition Summit 2022. The objective of the talk was to sensitise the industry on biofortification, updates on policy and environment in India and most importantly, intrigue the private players – SMEs and larger businesses - for adopting biofortified foods as a product offering.
As a nation, India joins over 125 countries that have embarked on coordinating efforts for inclusive, multistakeholder Food Systems Summit Dialogues to engage around the vision of the ‘people’s summit’. All over the world, countries have been holding – and in some cases continue to hold – national and sub-national dialogues to surface and prioritise needs and actions.
