The International Congress of Nutrition (IUNS) is taking place in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 15 to 20 October 2017.
The Congress’ programme will focus on every aspect of nutrition issues.
A GAIN-led multi sectoral delegation took part in the 4th SANKALP African Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, in February. The event was attended by more than 900 delegates and over 60 speakers from the areas of investment, innovation and entrepreneurship.
The conference will convene a fantastic array of international leaders, policy makers, farmers, executives from agribusiness and non-governmental organizations, and scientific, academic and development experts to address the most critical issues facing global food security.
Food safety issues have almost no visibility. This is very strange on both counts. As the presentations at the Pontifical Academy of Sciences – GAIN technical workshop in the Vatican made clear, food safety threats are on the rise as food systems modernise but the capacity to control those risks lags behind.
