Dr. Sylvia Roozen is the Secretary General at the International Federation for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (IFSBH) head office in Brussels, Belgium. IFSBH represents people with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus and their families, worldwide.
Within IFSBH, she provides overall leadership and direction. Together with IF’s Members, Board Members, Secretariat, and public-private-civil partnerships, Sylvia is dedicated to building positive futures for people with SBH, to reducing the prevalence of neural tube defects and Hydrocephalus by primary prevention through improving maternal health literacy, raising awareness, political advocacy, research, community building, and human rights education.
Sylvia has extensive work experience in the non-profit sector for people with preventable disabilities and in developing organizational strategies.
