This concept brief advocates for addressing nutrition security of coffee farmers to break the vicious cycle of under-nourished coffee families over generations.

Addressing nutrition security can be achieved by combining good coffee producing practices with Good Nutritional Practices through

  1. the development of nutrition sensitive value chains for local products,
  2. increased consumption of nutritious food through food diversification,
  3. strengthening the role of women and
  4. nutrition education.
