Advancing Nutrition: The THRive Webinar Series

The Take-Home Ration (THR) initiative is a cornerstone of India’s POSHAN 2.0 and Saksham Anganwadi programs. Designed to support children under three and pregnant or lactating mothers (PWLMs), THR delivery systems have undergone significant evolution. With the National Food Security Act (NFSA) 2023 updates, there is now a legal mandate for THR delivery.

To bridge the gap between policy and practice, GAIN hosts the THRive Webinar Series. This platform gathers global and national stakeholders to strenghthen THR delivery and showcase innovations that align with India’s updated nutritional norms.

Webinar 02: From Policy to Operational Excellence

Building on our initial stakeholder dialogue held in August 2025, this second session focuses on state-level implementation. We will explore how different regions are operationalizing NFSA 2023 provisions within existing government frameworks.

The discussion will highlight scalable solutions for supply chain management, quality control, and last-mile delivery. We will also examine the growing role of private sector expertise in enhancing the efficiency of THR production and distribution standards for THR delivery.

Key Objectives:

  • Highlight state-level best practices and innovations under the POSHAN 2.0 framework.
  • Analyze the operational hurdles and transition pathways for NFSA-aligned implementation.
  • Identify evidence-based models ready for replication across diverse state contexts.
  • Encourage cross-state collaboration to fortify national THR systems.
