GAIN @ UNGA75


At the 75th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) from September 15, high-level government, UN and civil society representatives gather virtually and in New York to assess progress on the Sustainable Development Goals, just as COVID19, and other converging threats to the planet and people call for urgent attention.

GAIN will take part in different side events on equity as cross cutting issue to attain SDG2 on Zero hunger, COVID-19 and Global Malnutrition, galvanising game-changers for the future of food.

Namely:

  1. Tuesday 22 September, 1305-1340 NY Time World Humanitarian Forum Hybrid Summit Zero Hunger. The session will discuss what radical change is needed to create an equity of food distribution, lifting everyone out of malnourishment while examining why poverty is still such a persistent issue.   2. Wednesday 23 September, 12:30 – 14:00 CET WEF Virtual Meeting Sustainable Development Impact Summit 2020 Galvanizing Game-Changers for the Future of Food. Panel will be moderated by Hanneke Faber (confirmed) with panellists Sigrid Kaag, Theo de Jager, and Beth Bechdol
