2021 UN Food Systems Summit - Action Track 1 Public Forum

2021 UN Food Systems Summit - Action Track 1 Public Forum

The ambition of the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit is to launch a collective journey of transforming our food systems to give us the best possible chance of delivering on the 2030 Agenda. Everyone has a role to play in this. Only by coming together and challenging one another we can spark new ideas and create meaningful impact.

Action Track 1 (AT1) strives to identify game-changing ideas to transform food systems and achieve the goal of ensuring access to safe and nutritious food for all. This third Public Forum will focus on the role UN Member States can play in relation to the game-changing ideas AT1 is developing.

More precisely, our focus on the role of Member States leads us to look at the following areas:

  • How can Member States contribute to the development of game-changing ideas?
  • How can we work together with Member States to further develop game-changing ideas?
  • How do we learn about national food system priorities and support an integrated food systems approach?

The event will be moderated by Ndidi Nwuneli - founder and board chair of Nourishing Africa, co-founder and managing partner of Sahel Consulting, member of the AT1 leadership team; and very passionate about driving food system transformation, especially in Africa.

We look forward to engaging, connecting and listening to your reflections in this Public Forum! Simultaneous translation in Spanish and French will be available.

Also, a synthesis report including the first wave of consolidated game-changing propositions by AT1 is OUT NOW!

Check it out here, and if you see gaps or have additional ideas, do share your feedback in this survey here.
