Dr. Mosammat Nazmanara Khanum

Secretary, Ministry of Food, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh

    Dr. Mosammat Nazmanara Khanum has joined as Secretary of Ministry of Food since December 19, 2019.
     
    Dr. Mosammat Nazmanara Khanum joined Bangladesh Civil Service in 1989. She worked in wide range of government positions in her long illustrious career of field administration as Assistant Commissioner, Assistant Director of Local Government, Upazila Nirbahi Officer. She also served in the most important ranked of field administration to Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh as a Deputy Commissioner of Naogaon & Divisional Commissioner of Sylhet. Apart from her long career in field administration, Dr. Mosammat Nazmanara Khanum has worked in Ministry of Public Administration, Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development & Co-operatives, Ministry of Civil Aviation & Tourism.
     
    Dr. Khanum has obtained her BSc. (Ag), MSc. (Plant Pathology), PhD (Food Science & Nutrition) from Japan. She had higher training programs both in national and international arena. Locally she attended trainings on Treasury Training Course, Foundation Training Course, Law & Administration Course, Rural Development Course, Survey & Settlement Course, TOT on Local Government, TOT on MTBF, Fiscal Decentralization, Managing at the TOP, Advance Course for Administration & Development (ACAD), Training on Procurement, Senior Staff Course (SSC). Internationally she attended higher courses like- Research Methodology, Public Procurement Management, E-Government: Public Service Transformation. She visited Japan, Italy, Singapore, Canada, Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Philippines, Sri Lanka, India etc. as part of her professional training & exposure visit.
