Carol has extensively worked in the area of food and nutrition security. She has been involved in development of: policies and national strategies in nutrition; standards and technical regulations on agricultural and food products; quality control and assurance procedures and protocols; and development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks on nutrition programs for more than 15 years.
She has worked with the governments of the East, Central and Southern African countries in designing food fortification programs, development of strategies and plans for implementation and has provided technical assistance in implementation and monitoring of national food fortification programs.
Carol is now a consultant focusing on providing technical assistance to countries in the area of micronutrient programs. She has a Masters degree in Public Health and in Business Administration.
