Wanjiru Kamande is a marketing and communications professional with more than a decade of experience developing brand, behaviour change, and demand-generation strategies across the FMCG, retail, and international development sectors. She currently provides regional marketing advisory support to nutrition programmes at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), working with project teams across Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Benin to design evidence-based demand creation strategies that make nutritious foods more desirable, accessible, and top-of-mind to consumers.


Her expertise spans brand strategy, consumer insights, integrated marketing communications, agency and media management, and the design of culturally relevant campaigns that drive consumer engagement and behaviour change. Wanjiru has a strong track record of translating research and consumer insights into effective marketing interventions that deliver both commercial and social impact outcomes.
She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University.
