Trish Muzenda is a public health researcher working in urban food systems, nutrition, and governance in low- and middle-income countries. She holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge, where her research examined food availability within the informal retail sector and its governance in Cape Town, South Africa, with wider implications for African cities. Her work focuses on how city governments can engage with informal food vendors to support healthier and more resilient urban food systems. She currently contributes to GAIN’s Nourishing Food Pathways programme through multi-country analysis of inclusive food systems governance in intermediary cities.
