Lilian dos Santos Rahal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and a Master’s degree in Sociology. She is a Brazilian federal civil servant and a member of the Government Policy and Management Specialist career (EPPGG). Throughout her career in the Brazilian Federal Government, she has held senior positions in the fields of social and public policy.
She served as Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Secretariat for Food and Nutrition Security at the Ministry of Social Development; as Chief of Staff of the National Secretariat for Family Farming at the Ministry of Agrarian Development; and as Advisor to the Special Secretariat for Social Development at the Ministry of Citizenship. She currently serves as Brazil’s National Secretary for Food and Nutrition Security at the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and the Fight against Hunger.
