Marie is a Food Technology and Food System Specialist currently working for the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) as a project coordinator in the large scale food fortification unit. Her work at GAIN includes project design, implementation, monitoring, and reporting for digital and data projects in fortification. She is also overseeing food safety interventions of GAIN.
Marie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Technology from the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf, Germany and a double Master of Science degree in Sustainable Food Systems and Food Processing from Isara, Lyon in France and Università Cattolica in Cremona, Italy. She has worked in the US, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Tanzania, South Africa and Malawi for the private sector, the United Nations (WFP) and NGOs.
