Gaspar Cuambe joined GAIN Mozambique as Deputy Country Director in August 2020 and is GAIN Mozambique's acting Country Director since January 2021. Gaspar brings along with him a wide experience of programmatic and operational management accumulated over 30 years in several public and private institutions and mostly in international NGOs in Mozambique and Angola.
Over the last 19 years, he served both in Mozambique a Angola as Director of Administration and Finance and Deputy Country Representative in international NGOs such as PSI - Population Services International and ICAP at Columbia University, where he has always been consecutively linked to the tasks programmatic and operational management, within the scope of extensive, diversified and complex programs.
Gaspar holds a master's degree (MSc) in Financial Management and a postgraduate degree in Economic Principles, both from SOAS - University of London, and also holds a degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Higher Institute of International Relations (Joaquim Chissano University).
During his free time, he enjoys riding his mountain bicycle on unpaved roads of the outskirts of Maputo city and other nearby districts.
