With his education background in Anthropology, G.M. Reza Sumon has more than twelve years of experience in the field of urban development, policy advocacy, and research and nutrition, mainly focussing on the workforce and Keeping Food Markets Working (KFMW) working with BRAC, the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), and the Asia Foundation and Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB). He has been leading different programmes and sharing knowledge linked with the ready-made garment sector and urban contexts in different parts of Bangladesh.
Sumon has strong communication skills and applies innovations in his role. During the COVID-19 crisis period, he has led innovative ideas on alternatives to change project delivery using digital platforms. Currently, he plays a leading role in projects on nutrition security for vulnerable workers and co-leads the Eat Safe project in Bangladesh along with five other countries.
