
In March 2026, GAIN will mark African Day of School Feeding and International School Meals Day, using these moments to highlight how school meals can improve nutrition, learning outcomes, and local food systems when designed with quality, equity, and sustainability in mind.
The campaign will bring together country-level experiences from Ethiopia and Tanzania with global insights on school food and nutrition. It will showcase how school feeding programmes can go beyond food provision to support dietary diversity, strengthen market linkages, and contribute to wider social protection and development goals.
