Diplav Sapkota is a Policy Advisor at GAIN/FOLU, where he works with policymakers, civil society, and other stakeholders to advance healthier, more sustainable, and equitable food systems. He recently led FOLU’s global work on public food procurement, on how government procurement can drive better health and environmental outcomes. "Public food procurement already feeds millions, yet its power to transform food systems remains largely untapped. Done right, it drives better nutrition, sustainability, livelihoods, and equity together. Private investment in delivery capacity alongside public budgets can scale what already works across many countries right now."
