Annette Muindi

Project Officer, Influencing and Advocacy


Annette Muindi is a policy and advocacy professional with a legal background and expertise in food systems, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement across East Africa. She currently serves as the Project Officer, Influencing and Advocacy at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) in Kenya, where she leads coordination of GAIN Kenya’s work under the Food and Land Use (FOLU) Coalition. In this role Annette works closely with government, civil society, and private sector partners to advance sustainable consumption of healthy diets. Annette also supported the coordination of the DISH competition in Kenya, which spotlighted youth-led MSMEs pioneering local innovations in sustainable and healthy diets. 
With experience spanning public affairs, legal advocacy, and policy coordination, Annette has contributed to key policy processes at national and county level in Kenya on food safety, food security, climate change and healthy diets. She has also played a lead role in capacity building for youth, market vendors, and local government stakeholders on issues ranging from food safety to governance and small business development. 
Annette holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Strathmore University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Sustainable Development at the University of Sussex.
