Ana Puhač Crouzet is an Urban Food System Specialist at the FAO, focusing on market-based and food environment strategies to improve food security and nutrition. She co-leads global initiatives and provides technical guidance to national and municipal governments on leveraging markets to enhance access to safe and diverse food for low-income consumers. Ana specializes in city-level engagement, multi-stakeholder planning, and urban food governance. She has authored several technical reports and policy briefs on traditional food markets, urban food systems, and the localization of sustainable food policies. Ana holds an MSc in Building and Urban Design in Development from University College London and a BA in Human Ecology / Food Systems and Sustainable Urban Development from the College of the Atlantic.
