Amos Atuya is a seasoned finance and operations executive with over 18 years of experience leading financial strategy and operational transformation within international development organisations. He joined the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) in 2023 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in May 2025.
Throughout his career, Amos has held senior leadership positions at the International Peacebuilding Alliance (Interpeace), How to Build Up Inc. (Build Up), and Tearfund UK. He has managed complex, multi-country financial portfolios, overseen major system reforms, and supported donor-funded programs backed by institutions such as USAID, SIDA, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the European Union, and various UN agencies.
Recognized for his strategic insight and collaborative leadership, Amos brings deep expertise in financial planning, risk management, compliance, and team development. His approach is grounded in transparency, accountability, and a strong commitment to supporting mission-driven impact through sound financial stewardship.
Amos holds a Master of Commerce in Strategic Management from Strathmore University, a Master of Arts in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi, and a Bachelor of Business Management from Moi University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and an active member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.
