PARTNERSHIP COUNCIL

The Partnership Council forms part of a two-tier governance structure in GAIN. At one level, the Council acts as an advisory body to the GAIN Board, providing guidance and recommendations on GAIN’s strategic and investment priorities. The Council is also a platform to support innovation and to catalyze new partnerships aimed at ending malnutrition. As part of this dual role, the Council provides a forum to review new partnership opportunities and identify big wins and successful interventions that originate from GAIN or its partners. The Partnership Council draws representatives from international organizations that are partners with GAIN. These include nongovernmental organizations, academic institutions, donor country governments, developing country governments, businesses, financial institutions and private foundations, as well as existing and future GAIN partnership initiatives. The responsibilities of the Board and Partnership Council are set out in GAIN’s statutes and bylaws.
