Dr Till Wahnbaeck, Chief Executive Officer of Welthungerhilfe, Germany
Dr Till Wahnbaeck was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Welthungerhilfe and Managing Director of Stiftung Deutsche Welthungerhilfe in May 2015.
Prior to this he was Managing Director of the German publishing company Gräfe und Unzer Verlag GmbH. From 2000 until 2012 Till Wahnbaeck has worked in several leadership positions in marketing, sales and innovation management at Procter&Gamble both in Germany and Switzerland.
Till Wahnbaeck brings in expert knowledge and long-term experience from both, profit and non-profit sectors. He has a PhD in Modern History (Oxford University), and a Master of Arts in History and Political Sciences. He has been engaged in development work in Tanzania, helping people with HIV/Aids set up small businesses, and has been chair of the Foundation United World Colleges Germany from 2000 until 2006. In 2003, he founded the non-profit consultancy Community Charity Consulting (CCC) and was a lecturer on leadership at Freiburg University, Germany.
Till Wahnbaeck is Trustee of the START Network and a member of the supervisory council of the Aid by Trade Foundation.
