Women Deliver’s 4th Global Conference, 16-19 May 2016, was the largest gathering on girls’ and women’s health and rights in the last decade and one of the first major global conferences following the launch of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Almost 6,000 people from 169 countries participated.
GAIN, UNICEF and the Nutrition International (formerly Micronutrient Initiative) run three sessions at the Conference. The sessions focused on how nutrition can be a gateway for achieving the Global Goals for Sustainable Development and how we can better address nutrition for adolescent girls using channels such as mobile technology and sports.
