The Canadian Partnership for Women and Children’s Health (CanWaCH), along with Every Woman Every Child (EWEC), the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH) and the World Health Organization (WHO), are pleased to host the Global Adolescent Health Conference: Unleashing the Power of a Generation, an international conference around timely issues and exciting solutions in adolescent health for the hardest to reach both in Canada and internationally. This effort will be supported by Women Deliver, the Lancet Commission on Adolescent Health and Wellbeing and youth change makers.
Conversations about global health outcomes are coalescing around adolescents as the key to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Every Woman Every Child targets. In support of these priorities and as part of a global roadmap of action for adolescent health, the overarching goal of this conference is to present a clear portrait of the current barriers and solutions to realizing health related rights and its implications for advancing adolescent health and well-being so adolescents are healthy and empowered to live to their fullest potential. These critical discussions will unite an international group of Ministers, government officials, multilaterals, civil society leaders, academics and youth voices.
