Kei Kawabata
Kei Kawabata currently occupies the position of Manager of Social Sector at the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB). Ms. Kawabata joined the Bank after a 23 year career with the World Bank. She last served as Sector Manager of Health, Nutrition and Population there. She has extensive experience in the fields of health systems, services, financing, as well as education and gender. She also took a 6 year leave from the WB and served as Coordinator of Resource Flows and Risk Protection, and as Advisor on Health Policy in the Sustainable Development Department at the World Health Organization. Prior to joining the WB she worked for the Latin American Bureau of UNDP both in New York and in Brazil. She holds a Master's degree in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and a bachelor's degree from Colgate University.
