Vinita Bali
Vinita Bali is the Managing Director of Britannia Industries Limited, one of India's leading food companies with revenue in excess of USD 750 MM. In the five years that Vinita has been at the helm of Britannia, the company has turned around to deliver CAGR of 20%. Strategically Vinita has steered Britannia on the Health and Nutrition course focussing on Better-For-You and Fortified products as well as driving advocacy and grassroot awareness. Britannia is actively engaged with Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), United Nations World Food Program (UNWFP), Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), World Bank Institute (WBI) and with Indian organizations like Naandi and Navjyoti Foundation in its pursuit of the Nutrition agenda. She won the prestigious Economic Times Businesswoman of the Year 2009 award. Vinita started her career in India with Voltas - a Tata group company in 1977. In 1980, she joined Cadburys where she had a successful career in roles of increasing responsibility not just in India but in the UK, Nigeria and South Africa. She served on the Boards of Cadbury Nigeria and South Africa. In 1994, Coca Cola chose Vinita as their worldwide Marketing Director. In 1997 she took over as VP Marketing for Latin America, and in 1999 relocated to Chile as President of the Andean Division. In 2001, she was appointed VP Corporate Strategy reporting to the Chairman.
