2 November 2009 The paper presented here is one of the first comprehensive attempts to describe what is becoming an integral part of the care and support for people living with and being treated for HIV and other chronic infectious diseases. While Food by Prescription is not a new aspect of care for the chronically ill, what Kate Greenaway has done is describe a range of programs that are evolving to meet the food and nutrition needs of large numbers of beneficiaries.
