Strategic Partnerships
GAIN establishes strategic partnerships with governments to develop nutrition policies and advance the global nutrition agenda.
GAIN partnered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the Netherlands, Unilever, DSM, AkzoNobel and Wageningen University to launch the Amsterdam Initiative against Malnutrition. Its goal is to eliminate malnutrition for 100 million people in Africa by 2015 by developing effective and sustainable approaches to accelerate the delivery of improved food. The Dutch Government chairs and facilitates the initiative and GAIN is responsible for the overall management.
