If you have been here before, you certainly will have noticed the new design. And not only the design is new, so is the technology behind it. If you are a technerd: we have moved from a coldfusion-based CMS to a drupal CMS, which is by far the best platform for community-based website available today.
Apart from the obvious changes in design and the easier navigation (which I hope you like - if not, let me know), we are now able to offer more features to our visitors that allow greater interaction between you and us.
What are those features? Well, for one you can subscribe to our newsletters to stay informed, provide your opinion and discuss with others under "your opinion", donate to us, or more easily get in touch with our staff.
For two, in future we will allow partners access to this system, to provide and share information in collaborative groups, and even contribute to the visible content by posting new content. In addition to presenting GAIN and its work, we hope to turn it into a platform for all those organizations who are committed to the cause of fighting malnutrition.
This new website is part of our increased effort to find new mechanisms to encourage people from different sectors to get in touch and start to work with each other. Everyone can contribute to fighting malnutrition, and this website hopes to contribute to that vision, even if only in a small and limited way. Are we on the right track? Let me know!
