Amsterdam, (IBLF/GAIN) 27 May 2009 – DSM will receive the first GAIN Business Award for Innovation in Nutrition 2008 at a special Award Ceremony that will take place today during the GAIN Business Alliance Global Forum in Amsterdam. DSM was recognized on 14 May 2009 for its innovative efforts in rice fortification, called NutriRice®, by the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and the International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF).

Geneva, London, 22 September 2008 (GAIN/IBLF) – As world leaders gather in New York this week to discuss the rising concern about food security and nutrition, we have extended the deadline for the GAIN Business Award for Innovation in Nutrition to give as many companies as possible the opportunity to participate. The new deadline for application has now been extended to 31 October 2008.

Geneva, 4 July 2008 - The member countries of the G8 announced the creation of a working group on the global food crisis. It brings new hope to the 860 million people who suffer from undernutrition in the world. The challenge is huge, especially when a humanitarian crisis is emerging behind the food crisis: the most vulnerable will become starved and malnourished.
