Description
The project is part of the national program to control vitamin and mineral deficiencies in the population of Mali (the ‘Program’). The project will support the implementation of a national food fortification program to fortify cottonseed oil with vitamin A. The Program will focus on the fortification of domestically produced cottonseed oil that is regularly consumed by the Malian people, including the primary target population of low-income pregnant women and women of child-bearing age. GAIN funding under the Project will supplement cash and in-kind contribution for the Program from the Government of Mali and other donor agencies.
