Key Results

The GPF has completed its second year of operation and has made significant progress against its objectives:

• The GPF model is now well established and has been proven to deliver the benefits of centralised procurement to its customers.
• The GPF has already had a significant impact, sourcing over US$ 13 million worth in premix orders in its 24 months, across 27 countries.
• The initial supplier selection window certified 16 premix blenders and 28 vitamin and mineral manufacturers. Another selection windows has identified more vitamin and mineral manufacturers to ensure strong competition on each micronutrient ingredient, and also in each geography.

The GPF is an approved supplier of premix for the World Food Programme (WFP) and we are also looking to build partnerships with other aid agencies.

In the first two years of operation, it is estimated that the food fortified by the premix supplied by the GPF will be eaten by around 102 million people, who will benefit from certified quality premix at an affordable cost.
