Frances Davidson is the Health Science Specialist in the Global Health Bureau at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). She is responsible for the development, introduction and assistance with the large scale application of technologies, interventions, policies and system improvements, coordination with external partners, and global leadership in maternal and child health with special reference to nutrition. Dr. Davidson has been with USAID for twenty years. Previously she was Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Medicine and International Health at Georgetown University School of Medicine where she lectured on international nutrition and designed and implemented research programs on domestic and international health subjects. She holds PhD and MSc degrees in Human Nutrition and BA and MA degrees in Anthropology.
