GAIN announces Future Fortified campaign with Initial commitment from DSM and Herbalife

GAIN’s new Future Fortified campaign seeks to help millions of women and children around the world access the essential nutrients needed to lead healthy and enriched lives.

An initial commitment of 20 million micronutrient sachets will be distributed in Ethiopia and Kenya to nourish pregnant women, new mothers and young children in the 1,000 days from conception to the child’s second birthday.

DSM, a leading vitamin producer and a founding member of GAIN’s Business Alliance, and Herbalife, a global nutrition company, announced this joint commitment alongside GAIN at the 7th annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative.

For mothers and children in the Horn of Africa , these nutrients will be essential for optimal health and development.

Together, GAIN, DSM and Herbalife are developing long-term, market-based business models which leverage the strength of each partner to ensure that affordable, nutritious products are accessible to low-income households in the region.
