Building partnerships to fight malnutrition

GAIN builds partnerships between governments, the private sector and civil society to fight malnutrition.

Through the GAIN Business Alliance, we mobilize the private sector to discuss, network, share and, in the end, develop new products, distribution mechanisms and marketing methods to bring new products to those in need. In this, they work closely together with the government or a development organization in a specific country, to ensure the product delivers public health benefits.

GAIN itself is an alliance of organizations from the public and private sectors who share the common vision to end malnutrition. Our board represents many of our stakeholders, and we work hand in hand with our alliance partners to realize our vision.

Many governments, organizations and businesses also partner directly with GAIN to work on specific projects.Together, we change legal frameworks to allow salt iodization; deliver specific nutrients to patients with HIV/AIDS or schoolchildren; develop a new business; or find ways to deliver government services via private sector distribution channels.
