GAIN promotes practical actions and encourages other stakeholders to fight malnutrition.
GAIN believes that malnutrition is a serious problem that affects 2 billion people. The world has the know-how and technolocy to significantly reduce unnecessary loss of life and human suffering. We also know that the return on investment is significant: improving nutrition pays large dividends in better health, stronger communites and growing economies.
That is why we advocate fighting malnutrition.
We base ourselves on the best available science of the problem and its solutions, and contribute to the develop of our collective know-how ourselves by publishing data on the efficacy of interventions, partnerships and new business models.
Our goal is for governments to invest more in nutrition components of public health programs, for business to consider ways they can use their assets to make a difference, and for the man and woman in the street to think of the link between their food and health.
